2 state soldiers injured in collision after being chased on Route 422, say officials

Limerick, Pa. (CBS) – Two state soldiers were seriously injured during a chase on Route 422 near Limerick, officials say. These jawans were chasing a U-hall box truck allegedly involved in some recent thefts in the area around 3 am on Saturday.

Soldiers were called in to respond to U-Haul trucks that failed to stop for local police.

Officials also said that soldiers were advised that the truck was involved in some recent thefts.

As the soldiers positioned the truck on the west side of Route 422, they attempted to stop the vehicle.

The driver of the U-Haul truck failed to stop and the soldiers began a stop maneuver resulting in a collision between the truck, the soldier’s vehicle and a dump truck.
